I ~think~ one is a AC-225-S (white knob) and the other is an
AC-225. I don't think there is a significant difference between the
two. I have seen both used with good sucess. As far as I know the
-S is just the latest version. I also heard a rumor once that the -S
version was a rebadge for sale at Sears. Don't know if that's true or not...
I personally use an AC/DC-225, I just keep it set in the AC mode and
it works fine. I don't think it makes a difference unless you are
running two in parallel for more power (like Ed Wingate deos). In
that case you have better be sure they are identical.
