I should add that I'll be resistively ballasting the
PT on the high side with adjustable power resistors to
*hopefully* time it so that cap charges to 2700V 120
times a second.  We'll see how well that works :)
I've got a 2700pF doorknob cap and a 3kV MOV lightning
arrestor, so with these parts thrown in, my ballast
oughta double as a Terry filter for my wimpy little
200VA PT.
