Wait!... Some of my data may be less accurate than they appear. I
had cut the outer copper rings in only one place, each side. That
was OK when I had the two spirals aligned in the same direction. But
when I turned one spiral over, the cuts became displaced. Then, a
shorted turn was created, through the screws holding the spirals together.
I'll re-run the tests today or tomorrow.

As I've noted, I made the spirals from 2-side p-c stock [snipped]
