Hey Terry,
I think I forgot to mention that I will be feeding the MMC with 16kv
AC not DC so could you name a specific part # and company for the
AC-rated caps that would be good to use for making the MMC array you suggested?
Thamks in advance,
Robert

Hi Terry,
Can you please tell me a part # for the caps you are describing
because I am not sure what specific details to look for when buying
the MMC-type caps.
Thanks in advance,
Robert

Hi Robert,
Why does the voltage have to be so high?
16kV should only need 16 x SQRT(2) = ~23kV
I am thinking a 12 long by 7 wide array of 150nF 2kV caps would work.
That would be 24kV at 95 amps RMS and 3000 amps peak. If the
voltage goes higher buy say 50%, the MMC caps don't care.
Cheers,
Terry
