MOTs have very little inherent current limiting (the shunts are not very
effective), so to get more power out of a MOT you just put a "heavier load"
on it. You can easily draw 1 KVA from a MOT. If you intend to do this for
more than a few minutes at a time, you should immerse your MOT(s) in oil.
A better solution is to put 2 or more in series. MOT stacks of 4 and 6 are
common, and even 8 have been used. 8 MOT stacks really stress the
insulation capabilities of MOTs, even if they are under oil. I would
recommend using only 4 or 6 and add voltage doublers if you need more
voltage.
