Original poster: mileswaldron@xxxxxxxxxxx Simultaneous streamers sometimes mean the topload capacitance does not match (is lower than) your tank caps. Try dropping the doorknobs down to 8nF, or even 6nF and retuning. Remember less tank caps equals more primary winds. You should get one nice long arc if you tune it in well. Bigger toroids are expensive. $200 bucks and up. I have had great results just folding aluminum tape over dryer duct, and it is WAY less expensive. Personally, I always use a topload sphere.
