Might want to check  nearest "Wally's-World" (Wal-Mart) for a SS
or Al colander. Usually hemispherical (8-10" OD), ribbed
equatorial surface (for easy assembly).  Drill out riveted legs
and spot weld halves together and you should be golden...

Just an idea, but plausible for even TC's for top loads, and a
hel___ of a lot cheaper then a formed toroid or sphere.
