Hi Jim,
Krupps has 6" polished stainless steel spheres for $11.40 plus shipping
(<http://www.krupps.com/Stainless-Steel-Gazing-Balls/1_PricePromo_35_35_MGMRB>http://www.krupps.com/Stainless-Steel-Gazing-Balls/1_PricePromo_35_35_MGMRB
6_35_35).
I bought a 22" polished stainless steel sphere from http://www.mglcorp.com/
for $155.00 including shipping. Also, I bought a 30" polished stainless
steel sphere from
http://www.krupps.com/Gazing-Balls/1_PricePromo_35_3_AEGB30_3_3 for $409.36
including shipping. Both were of extremely good quality. You can see my
22" sphere at http://www.halice.com/physics/vdg/vdg1.jpg.
