Sounds interesting. Visited your friend Chris Hooper in PHX this week ---
saw some neat coils and his cool model of your DRSSTC-3 coil in operation.

Hi D.C.

Yes, i built 2 DRSSTC magnifiers, a small one and a large one. See
the following webpages:

http://www.stevehv.4hv.org/DRSSTCmag1.htm

And a comparison between the 2 and 3-coil system for the small coil:

http://www.stevehv.4hv.org/2vs3coil.htm

And finally, the bigger maggy:

http://www.stevehv.4hv.org/DRSSTCmag2.htm

I managed only 9 foot sparks from a 21" tall resonator (and 19" tall
driver). The system had chronic flash-over issues with the primary
and secondary coil arrangement. I had to severely lower my coupling
to keep it from arcing. Overall, the magnifier just seemed too
problematic, and i wasnt seeing any real benefits when compared with
the 2-coil system. The 2 coil system later produced 12' sparks from a
45" winding, making my spark vs coil length ratio much larger for the
2 coil system. I still have all of the magnifier components, so i
might revisit it later, but not for awhile as far as i can see.
