FW: 3 plate transformers or potential transformers wanted

Original poster: "Jim Mora" <jmora@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi List,

Isuzu motor found (3) in fact... Now to bring up the power plant. Cool to
have this mobility! Since it is 12 wire configurable it would be good for a
thon!

The Coil is thin wall PVC 12"dia 6' with 5' of #18 high temp. I am
considering coating the tube with fiber glass as I have 5 gals of marine
clear laminating resin.

The primary will be 3/8" separated 3/8" and will be coupling adjustable. I
am thinking a 4 foot by 12" top load which scales up proportionally what I
presently have.

I hope this coil will stand up to 15KW and high break rates!

Subject: 3 plate transformers or potential transformers wanted, Diesel
engines

Original poster: "Jim Mora" <jmora@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Hi group,

I continue my three phase off the grid generator and DC asrg project. I have
a nice 3 phase genhead but am finding a diesel Isuzu 1le1 2.2L to power the
end close to $4000 ;-( an Isuzo PUP would work, I believe).

Also, I would like to find three matched plate transformers or perhaps
potential transformers. Since a 3 phase bridge diode per leg equals 2.45 x
rms value of one output (Richie Burnett) combined (wye), I need to limit the
voltage to ~ >7000 volts rms on the transformers. They must be able to
endure the peak voltage 17,500 +. Keep in mind a charge inductor would
double this voltage as well!

I am looking at some three phase HV transformers but they are on the right
side of the US and I am near LA. Fuel $ is out of control as is 1000LB
weights in shipping.

I have most of the other stuff.

Please email me offline if you have any of these and live on the West side
of the Rockies.

Please correct me if I am missing something in the calcs.

Thanks Much,
Jim Mora
