In that simulation schematic I include 4, 8-bit shift registers e.g. 
74HC164s.  With the 5.1 MHz clock (will be an available section of a 
hex Schmitt gate in my hardware), the simulation shows exact 
cancellation of the circuit delays.  (My freebie SiMetrix version 
will not allow for another Schmitt circuit to be included.)
