Nice solution...
There's also a board into which some of the rabbits will plug that is
designed for "industrial control" kinds of applications, with screw
terminals, relays, etc.
Zworld (which used to be next door to Rabbit, and may still be, for all I
know) has the BL2600 Wolf SBC whcih has buffered I/O, etc. Or the LP3500
Fox or BL1800 Jackrabbit
