Hi All,
I am in the process of rebuilding my DC charging inductor. Does anyone have
any information on how I should calculate the size of the core I use based
on the peak current and value of inductance required? I will put an air gap
in the core so it does not saturate.
I have calculated the size of wire to use based on ~3A/square mm that I read
in a transformer paper once.
I am thinking of getting a MOT core with an air gap and winding lots of wire
on it first and seeing what value I end up with and going from there.
Cheers,
Paul Benham.
