A diagram of what you want to do would help. Are the + and - rails
floating, grounded or center tap grounded? Connectng anything high
voltage to a panel meter is a really bad idea.
Measuring any current you can near the voltage closest to ground is good,
then you're only dealing with a few mV which is harmless.
What do you mean by high voltage and current in this project?
