Hmmm... I was a little worried you would still not have enough primary turns. You might add some heavy wire to the primary and just make "more turns". It sound like you are tuned to a higher harmonic instead of the "real" right frequency. You might need to consider one of these :D

If I understand how this all works my primary's frequency is to high.  I can
either remove windings off the of the secondary to increase its frequency,
or add another string of capacitors to the primary to lower its frequency.
Does that sound right?

PS - is it just me or is there a big delay on this list?
There is a big delay! Remember that super bowl thing with Janet Jackson... Now-a-days, the super bowl is delayed so that they can push the button if anything naughty happens (even if it is the most famous moment in super bowl history...). But, this list has always had that delay!! The list posts here are first sent to the moderator (me) so that I can check and get ride of all the flying saucer, off-topic, goofy, and spam stuff... It was inspired by lists like USATesla(no moderator) that get super goofy (last time I looked there they were talking of nazis taking over the universe with Tesla coil powered flying saucers....) Then I send the posts out to everyone. So it depends on what "I" am doing... I try to hit the list about three times a day and sometimes I just site here so it gets real fast! But I can be in bed too and I "sometimes" do other stuff :D, so the delay could be up to 24 hours... Longer than that, and the list might be having technical problems or I have died or something. That has not been updated for a while ;-))) But that is the official status to get the message out... Chip has been real good so, it is very rarely needed now ;-))))))
