I'm wondering if someone has ever experimented with a bifilar coil
and what his or her results were?
This coil uses two wires laid next to each other on a form but with
the end of the first one connected to the beginning of the second one.

Tesla added capacitance between turns in the two halves of the coil,
by mounting them side by side, producing impedance zeros at certain
frequencies. It's not clear what would be the use of a coil like this,
however. Maybe a primary coil for a Tesla coil without an explicit
primary capacitance. The coil could be built as a rolled capacitor,
with the capacitor plates serving also as the coil conductors.
