Oops,  I should correct what I posted.

Each leg of a full wave bridge sees Vpeak of the transformer output, not 
each diode.  Iif anyone what to know, the resistor values I was using was 
4.7 Mohms  1/2 watt across each diode.  The variations of the reverse bias 
resistance if I remember was between 70 Mohms and around 20 or 30 
Mohms.  so equalization was necessary.  Newer diodes maybe better but I 
haven't tested them.
