I'm working on a small table top SSTC right now.  Jeff Larsen is doing the
driver work while I'm concentrating on the stack pi wound coils.  A flat
pancake primary with 8 pis above it in decreasing outer dia. and all
connected in series.

I expect it to work both in air and also in oil.  We are testing both air
core and also a 1 inch dia. ferrite straight core to see which design works
best.
