Re: Ebay faker warning - Terry made up subject $$$

There are a lot of scams on ebay. Never trust any email that appears to be
from ebay because it probably isn't. I get emails all the time wanting me
to confirm my account by emailing them my credit card number and password.
Look out for spyware too. I saw on TV Thursday night the government passed
a law making it illegal to make spyware and distribute spyware. I
received an email 3 days ago from an ebay buyer offering to pay me $100.00
more than my asking price for an item I was selling if I would remove the
item from ebay and sell it to them so they would not have to wait a week
for the auction to end. I agreed and close the auction when I emailed the
person the email came back, the email account name had been changed. It
turns out the person asking me to close my auction was selling the same
thing and did not like competition. With my auction out of the picture
they have a better chance of getting more for the item they are selling.
People think up some really strange plans but sometimes do realize they can
get caught. 2 years ago I was selling something on ebay and another person
selling the same item started sending me 5000 emails every few hours. It
kept my email jammed up and all the email from ebay customers bounced. I
could not talk to any of my customers. The guy that was sending me the
5000 emails was so proud of himself that he sent me an email and told me
why. He did not like it that I was selling the same item on ebay that he
is selling and said it has reduced his sales. He said as long as I
continue to sell on ebay he was going to keep sending me 5000 emails over
and over so I can not conduct business. I was getting very pissed off and
reported him to the FBI and ebay because what he was doing is illegal. It
wasn't long the guy got kicked off ebay. He changed his name and was back
on ebay in a few days then was kicked off again and again. Ebay took care
of the problem.

I have a bunch of 6" and 8" PVC pipe I will give it away for FREE to anyone
that wants it and is willing to pay postage to get it. Not sure this is
such a good deal sense the stuff costs about $2.00 a foot new and postage
to get it will probably cost you 3 times that. I am going to trash it all
I need to clean out my work shop.
