I took the secondary off a mot and have it lying around as some (very) 
effective 'copper knuckles' .  I'll go measure it now with my cheap plastic 
calipers. ook, 5 minutes of measuring gives me 0.1 mm. There is glue on the 
windings, and its in a square shape, which means winding a coil off them 
will be pretty difficult.
