Yes, we were running without a safety gap.

And for the record it wasn't our mistake. Long story but the simplest
explanation is the client changed the electrical supply on us sending
50hz down the line instead of the 60hz we had been using. This caused
the SRSG phase controller to function incorrectly (as it's a resonate
device) with catastrophic end results.
