My ISSTC will make the fluorescent ceiling fixtures light up almost as
bright as if they were excited with 120v. My SSTC when I ran it with
filtered DC still didn't even make the lights flicker at all, even when it
was on an elevated table.
This may be a function of the arc's conductive channel getting closer to the
bulbs and acting as antennas of sort.
