Let's see, the ampacity of a typical 138 KV transmission line is 880
amps.

Typical 345 KV = 2640 amps

Typical 765 KV = 3890 amps

This is low current!?

	It's a lot lower than if the same amount of power were distributed at
say 2200 volts or 240 volts!  The effect of line resistance is much less
for the HV system, which was Terry's point.  As for low and high, how
big is a rock?
