No, the proper gap spacing is one that breaks down at the peak value of
the power supply.  This is determined without the cap, so the cap value
doesn't enter into it.  Now one is free to select the value of the cap,
and this choice determines what the BPS rate is, typically much higher
than 120BPS.  A static gap will basically never fire at exactly 120BPS
at the peaks of the charging voltage.  Really.  Honest, it won't happen.
Pull out a scope and see.
