Vladimiro,
The colors come from different phosphors in the inside of the glass. Some 
of the lamps actually display red, green, and blue, depending on which part 
of the glass the discharge is touching.

SCIPlus-dot-com is selling some of these for $19.95.  Almost worth it just for 
the power supplies, let alone the tube.
