Yes, I did run a tesla coil from it. It was just a wild guess at the bps 
and firing voltage
though. It may be a factor of 4 off in power. I think the problem is that 
the high voltage only
comes in short spikes, and once the neon is ionized, a lower voltage supply 
can supply the
current. It was a neat experiment, but they really don't supply much power :-(
