Tens of thousands of Dollars, months of work and one poor photo that 
doesn't even show the arc attachment point is all the proof there is to 
back up the 55 foot claim?  Just not good enough.

With the greatest of respect, arc length claims really are not a matter of 
'what everyone thinks' they are a matter of simple fact, easily proven with 
a tape measure, or a good photo or video segment that clearly shows where 
the arc came from, where it struck and gives some good references to scale 
from.  When people make claims like these they have to be backed up.

Dr. Resonance's 'secret' 75 foot coil has been the subject of much debate 
on this list over the years, apparently it was installed at the Australian 
home of a reclusive container shipping tycoon in 1984.  Unless D.C. decides 
to publish photos or film of it (he says he has both), then that claim 
doesn't count either.
