Dan,
By now you have seen quite a variety of clamp ideas. Here is yet one more.
Many of us one or more cartridge fuse clips on 1/4 inch primary windings
with good success. I use 3 clips in parallel bolted to a piece of copper.
There are much larger round connection cartridge fuses available, and
therefore much larger fuse clips that might work well for you.
