The Meiners coil is way overcoupled. It works but modern design with a flat
primary will outperform it everytime. Also, the insulation wrapped around
the sec will deterioriate due to capacitive coupling of charge by to
capacitive displacement currents. Also, the topload is much too small for
serious performance.
