In "your" case, you just borrow one of mine ;-))
But a brand new 1/4 HP motor at 1800 RPM generally goes for $75 if you shop
around. About $25 on Ebay... In your case, conversion to sync is free ;-))
Plain Jane 1/4 HP motors are super common and exist everywhere. Even Sears
sells them...
