IF it is a US postal M.O. AND you have your original auction documentation, 
you can file a claim of mail fraud with USPS postal inspectors. If you 
bought one at 7-11 or elsewhere, you might file a complaint with your 
state's attorney general's office of consumer protection. This can take 
months or years to resolve, so I'm afraid once it is cashed, you are S. O.

If you still have the stub from the MO you can either stop payment on it or
get a refund from the issuer minus some fee usually.
