No the board won't work without the antenna.  Please people who have bought
the board,  ignore what peopel are saying the board has/or doesn't have.  It
has everything that is needed to run except for the 18-25v power supply and
a .1uf cap that goes in series with the antenna.  Do not worry,  it is
complete.
