Re: Spark Gap Tubes

Ed: Having some experience in radioactive spark gaps and TR tubes I don't
bereave that they will be of any service in TC service. alpha emitters in a
spark gap tend to interfere with a good quench of the arc. When used in a
research radar the spark gap would fire and continue to conduct with no stop
until the powersupply failed. Our research proved to be a failure and after
replacing several powersupplies we abandoned the project.
