Real HV Facility on TV?

This is a bit OT, but last night, they re-ran an episode of Stargate SG-1 
entitled "Space Race"  that seems to have been filmed in some sort of real 
life high voltage test facility.

There were large skeleton toroids made of concentric tube rings hanging on 
the walls, and a number of very authentic looking  HV devices on a grand 
scale, including a Marx generator, and a couple of large voltage dividers 
or cap towers.  Looks too large and authentic to be a movie set.  Ceiling 
was at least 60 - 75 feet high.  I think I saw the same facility in an old 
X-files episode (one of the season closers, IIRC)

Anyone have any idea where it might have been filmed?  It would be a really 
neat place to visit.
