One method is to mount a 2 inch or so PVC pipe cap on the wood or plastic
disk at the top end of your secondary form. Use nylon hardware to secure
the PVC cap. Do the same thing on the toroid. Then you ca use whatever
length of PVC pipe to set the toroid height above the secondary. (Some pipe
caps have rounded ends - you may want to grind them flatter for more
stability.)
