Richard Quick video

Original poster: "Mr Gregory Peters by way of Terry Fritz <teslalist-at-qwest-dot-net>" <s371034-at-student.uq.edu.au>

I have a copy of the Richard Quick video, given to me by a list member in
the mid `90s with RQ's permission. It is a great tape showing his successes
and failures as he experimented with magnifiers and gap design. It
concludes with his 10" coil making 12-14 foot sparks and runtimes of over 5
minutes. Some of the theory is a bit dated, but you can't argue with the
performance. I would be happy to copy the tape if I could get hold of him
and ask for permission. His old email address is no longer valid. Not sure
where he is now. Richard dedicated all of his spare time to coiling, and
was a great contributor to the list (as can be seen in the archives), and
was always happy to answer questions in great detail, even for me, an
annoying 14-15 year old back then. It's a pity he is no longer coiling - I
think he could have worked wonders equipped with modern tesla coil knowledge.
