Steve,

In my experiences, any SSTC is impressive and likely to draw a crowd.
Although these large and powerful conventional
single and twin coils are extremely impressive indeed, very fun to
watch, and awe inspiring, I find that its usually the small unique items
that draw the most attention (at least with fellow tesla coilers) such
as vacuum coils, solid state coils, and other unique items. Since solid
state coils are relatively new technology, anything solid state is bound
to spark up (no pun intended) much interest among fellow coilers.

Of course, no teslathon could be complete without a classic monster coil
throwing out 20+ foot streamers inspiring all of
us build bigger coils!!! I know when I first saw Ed Wingates coil
(having only been tesla coiling for about 3-4 months at the time) i was
completely in awe! Totally awesome!

Is a small SSTC going to be impressive up against R. Scott
