The fuse is on the low voltage (line voltage) side of the NST, so any old
fuse will work...

On the HV side, fusing is, shall we say, a bit complex, because a low
voltage fuse might make a nice "exploding bridge wire", or just a "fusible
link arc starter"..  It all depends on the voltage and energy available.
(For fuses, the important spec is called "action", by the way)
