Perhaps we can celebrate his life on his birthday (his human nature) , and
remember his achievements on the anniversary of his passing. We tend to
fold one's humanity and technical prowess into a single "thing", when those
qualities may better be represented as two separate facets of the
individual. Certainly in Tesla's case, the man, and the genius- were out of
phase as far as American history wants to package someone in a tidy little
representation of a man's life.
So here's to Tesla! He might be happier if we all fed a pigeon rather than
turn off the power in our homes. :0)
