Perhaps in large quantities... Last time I bought it (5-6 years ago) it was
$15 for a 1000 foot box.  It IS after all, just polyethylene, and should be
very cheap.

The real flexible stuff, also used in the neon sign business, having a
silicone jacket is MUCH more expensive. But, still $1/ft is a bit high, and
in my opinion, extortionate if it's the polyethylene insulated stuff that's
fairly stiff.. Spark plug wire is cheaper and probably better.

A number of surplus places (e.g. C&H) sell HV wire by the foot as well as in
10 and 100 foot lengths.
