Hi,
The answer you get from the pacemaker company or the doctor may not be
based on medical acumen or engineering knowledge. If they tell you "NO"
and their wrong, you have been kept out of a strange hobby. If they say
"OK" and anything happens, you or your heirs could cost them millions. In
this day of the "lawsuit lottery", the answer may well come from the
risk-management clerk at the insurance companies that handle the liability
claims for the manufacturer and your doctor. I fear you can expect a VERY
conservative answer, independent of the science involved.
