Hi Ed, Coilers,

The 100 horsepower unit was used in an industrial site which has a 400
amp, single phase, service. We never blew the main fuses, but it must
have been close, and the lights dimmed pretty good.

My own home and shop are fed from a dedicated 25 KVA pole transformer,
with a 200 amp service to the house and 125 amp to the shop. We where
able to run the big unit with no load on the shop service AFTER we had
spun it up with a 10 HP pony motor.
