No, it is not. If you use the same tank cap, you will
need little or no change to the number of primary
turns. I'm not taking an absolute stand on this point,
because additional power can increase streamer length
& quantity thus increasing streamer loading of the
secondary. This could, in theory, change the optimum
primary tap point a little.

The usual effect of stuffing more power into a tesla
coil without making any other change is an increase in
break rate. This should give more streamers, longer
streamers, or both. However, if gap quenching is
inadequate, the extra current can tip the thing over
into power arcing. This can actually cause streamer
production to decrease! Most of the time though, when
you add to your NST farm, you will be rewarded with
bigger, better streamers.
