Feeding steam from a teakettle through PVC pipe also works nicely to warm 
it for forming.  Filling with dry sand (warm dry sand?) will help prevent 
it from collapsing.

At some point though, it would be easier to make a form out of plaster and 
burlap, and layup fiberglass over it.
