Ken,

I have heard about paralelling NSTs and have done so myself for he last year
or so - a 10/85, and two 10/35s in paralell. You cannot paralell different
voltage NSTs - it overvolts the one with the lower voltage rating, and
causes back current flow, etc. I have never heard of seriesing NSTs - I
would imagine that the excessive voltage at one end would destroy the NST.
What you COULD do was to build a permenant transformer to take the 15/30
neon down to a 12/30, and then run them in paralell off the same variac -
much safer than with 2 variacs. IMHO it depends on whether or not you can
get more - if you can get another 15KV neon the get one, but if not, make
the most of what you have got.

Best Regards,

Jason
