And to think I was worried about heating them too much with the
soldering iron. HA.  hopefully it wont burn the epoxy perf board.
I ran out of board space so I had to be creative.  the power resistors are 
away from everything by about no more than 2 inches.  I used PE tubing for 
insulation on the wires that cross.  didn't see any arcs,
and the coil ran well.  I'll check it later. I'll be using dowel rods
to mount it to a board. the perf board isn't as strong as I'd like.
using round head screws (pan head?) for the safety gap mounted on 
L-brackets.

ps.  I guess I won't have to worry about cold solder joints on the power
resistors. :)  it'll just remelt with a nice run.
