Malcolm Watts used similar sheeting for his 100nF rolled caps I believe (see
Electrionics World March 1995) There is a PDF version on the WEB somewhere I
think.
Be a little wary of low grade plastic it's purity and thickness variabilty
can lead to early breakdown of your cap. Multipler layers of plastic help
this a lot.
The MMC is more reliable IMHO
