To set the record straight

All,

I recently offered to donate a Franceformer 4020SE to Malcom Watts so that he
could participate in the "Tabletop Tesla Coil Showdown" because I for one would
be interested in his entry.

Well I guess I was being a bit naive because I found out it would cost ~$80 to
ship it UPS. Needless to say I can't afford to be THAT generous and Malcom is
not interest in paying $192 NZ for a transformer worth a tiny fraction of that.
Also, I spoke with Franceformer today and they have no official distributors
outside of the US but they offered to try and locate an intermediary closer to
New Zealand.

Having said that, if anybody knows of a much less expensive shipping option or
happens to be taking a trip to New Zealand in the near future please contact
me.

Come to think of it I need a vacation - hows the weather in New Zealand this
time of year Malcom ;-)

Regards,
