Hi Steve,

The plates can run yellow! I am not kidding!
To quote a friend of mine who is a broadcast engineer, "the plate can glow
as bright as the sun!". To run the tube at its full 'yellow' capacity (2KV
at 900 mA) you must have forced air cooling (a fan) on the tube. Be careful
of the grid voltage and current. I found out the hard way that the grid is
very fragile.
