I should note that O'Neil published "Prodigal Genius" in 1944.  34 years 
before the Colorado Springs Notes were made available ;-)  A number of the 
older books worked off magazine and other "embellished" sources or 
information.  Little technical or engineering detail was available so they 
just wrote what everyone told them.  Only recently do we have the knowledge 
to go back and piece together the real facts.  Don't be surprised if some 
pretty popular Tesla books have inaccurate technical information in 
them.  The authors just didn't know...
